PLW1000 - Will Not allow me to connect to internet
Trying to switch between my wireless internet connection and wired using a PLW1000 modem. I keep getting error message about "Ethernet does not have a valid IP Configuration". I tried downloading the PLW100V1.0.1.6 firmware, but the damn file is corrupt.
Will I just have a purchase a new model and forget about my non-functional PLW1000?
Thanks!

Re: PLW1000 - Will Not allow me to connect to internet
Forgive me, but I find some of this confusing.

Modem? Do you mean the PLW1000 AP?
And what devices are switching?
I assume that you mean that you are switching between the wifi from the PLW1000 and some other wifi source. Is that a router?

Where do you see this message?
Does the wired Ethernet from the PLW1000 work?

Not that I can see. What makes you think that? Some sort of error message?
Remember, it comes as a zip file that you have to unpack.

Also, have you tried a reset on tour Powerline devices?

I wouldn't give up until you have done some more troubleshooting. You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Powerline Networking - NETGEAR Communities
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
