Two questions: 1) What is the maximum length of ethernet cable that can be used to connect the PowerLINE 1200 Adapter to a home network WiFi router? 2) What categories of ethernet cable (e.g. 5, 5e, 6, or higher) can be used for this connection? Thank you.

I'd use a cat 5e of decent quality or cat 6.
You can run up to 300 ft of cable
