Powerline 1000
I have an old desk top without wifi. I am using netgear powerline 1000 for wifi connection. The internet connection goes off intermittenly. My question is how do I find if adaptor is running on official netgear wireless adaptor driver and not a generic adaptor driver on my desk top. Devices in the rest of the house are fine (lap top, cell phone , streaming)
Thanks

Is that the PLW1000 plug? What devices are on the wifi?

I don't understand the question. Is the desktop connected through the Powerline Ethernet link?
If you are using a wifi adapter of some sort to connect the desktop, why not just plug the laptop into the Ethernet?
To find out what your wifi unnamed adapter is using, check what Windows says.
