Powerline AV5000 No lights showing

My base unit Powerline AV500 has stopped working. There are no lights coming on at all. I've tried plugging it into other power sockets but no luck. Has the unit completely failed, or is there anything that i can do to restart it?

Yes, I've tried the factory reset button but nothing happens. I suspect that the unit has completely failed. We did have a very local lightening strike a few days ago, so I suspect that htis might have killed it.

Probably. But have you tried the Factory reset "button"?

There's your answer. Lightning is very good at frying electrical equipment.
