Powerline Compatability Powerline 500 XAVB5421 & PLW1000-100UKS ethernet Wifi

I have 2 x XAVB5421 powerline 500s installed and want to extend my network, can I addPLW1000-100UKS ethernet wifi to it? Are they compatible?

I am connecting the powerline to a Virgin superhub2 router and am presently hardwired into one of the XAVB5421s

I don't want to splash out £76.00 on something incompatible as I want to hook up a smart TV and get decent wifi in a poorly covered room

Yes.

Modern powerline devices work to the "AV" standard. So you can add any AV plug from any maker to an existing network.

There are a few things to remember though. The network will run at the speed of the slowest plugs on the network. So if you add 1000 Mbps plugs to a Powerline AV 200 network, it will all chug along at 200 Mbps. But the 1000 Mbps plugs have an advantage in that their LAN socket also works at 1000 Mbps for wired devices.

Another important point is that if you add plugs to an existing network you have to introduce the new plugs to the old ones. You do that by following these instructions:
