Powerline PL1200 slower than my Wi-Fi and no faster then Powerline XAVB5101
Why after spending so much money is the performance so much poorer with this adapter? I can get faster speedtest results on my MacBook and Windows laptop default wireless adpaters than with the PL1200. I am using a Netgear C6300 for my Modem/Router and have a 300Mbps download plan.

Hi @MikeyMike63,
Welcome to Community!
Please provide the following information so that I can provide you a best resolution.
1. What is the speed you can get from the powerline?
2. How many devices are connected to the powerline?
3. How far is the 2nd powerline from the 1st powerline?
4. Have you tried to check the speed when both powerlines are connected on the same room with the router?

To the same server.
From PowerLine (approx. 70-75 FT away) : 84 Mbps down, 3 Mbps up
From PowerLine (in same room): 114 Mbps down, 14 Mbps up
Over wireless (in same room as remote PowerLIne adapter): 165 Mbps down, 24 Mbps up.

I am having the same issue. My wifi off my router is super fast and my Netgear wifi repeater is only getting 1.3 Megs down. Please help. My e-mail is mydropinfo@gmail.com.

To get official support that delivers by email, you need to enter the official support system.
This is essentially a user-to-user channel, albeit one with massive input from some seriously knowledgeable "minders" from Netgear.
As it is, I can't follow your problem. This discussion is about Powerline kit, but you refer to "my Netgear wifi repeater". Which repeater, what router, and how is all this stuff strung together?
And to avoid getting confused with an ongoing conversation about a different system, it is usually better to start a new discussion.
