Want to add another Powerline WIFI access point
I purchased the PLW1010-100NAS and would like to add another PLW1010V2 to the network (in order to have another Powerline WiFi access point in another loacation). However, Netgear doesn't seem to sell the PLW1010V2 separately without the PL1010V2 adapter. Why would a person need another adapter (which also add to the cost)?

Re: Want to add another Powerline WIFI access point
Many have had issues with this as netgear only sells the kits. You can find people on places like ebay that have seperated them out.
Or there are other companies that sell wireless powerline adapters. Provided it follows the same powerline standard, they should work together.

Re: Want to add another Powerline WIFI access point
As @plemans says, Netgear, and several other brands, sell only bundles.
While other brands will work on a Netgear network and alternative is to use a Powerline plug as the wired end of a conventional access point. This is often a better idea because the AP component on a Powerline plug is pretty basic.
I have an Orbi router (in AP mode) at the remote end of a Powerline network.
