There is no "better". It depends on your circumstances.
In theory at least the AV 2 is faster than AV. So if everything on your powerline network is AV 2 it will be marginally faster. But if you add AV 2 plugs to an existing network the plugs will all talk to each other at the speed of the slowest devices on the network.
