XAV5101 Dropping connection?
I just upgraded from the XAV2501 to the XAV5101 Nano and the connection seems to drop sometimes when I am surfing the internet.
This did not happen when I was using the XAV2501. I am using the same plug outlets so that can't be the issue.
Anyone else have this problem and a solution?

Re: XAV5101 Dropping connection?
I am having a similar situation with the XAV5001 model. Connect to the internet OK for a few minutes then get the dreaded message to check the connection. Any suggestions. Full setup is described below:

Netgear WNR3500L Router connected to Netgear GS108 Switch
Netgear GS108 Switch connected to XAV5001 Powerline Adapter
Room 2:
Netgear XAV5001 connected to PC
Room 3:
Netgear XAV5004 connected to Satelite Receiver and BluRay Disc
Other info:
Room 1 to Room 2 164MB outbound 141MB inbound
Room 1 to Room 3 172MB outbound 161MB inbound
Thanks in advance.

Re: XAV5101 Dropping connection?
Same here. I have the XAVB5101. Just got it today.
Gets about 85-100MB of data, then drops.
I should know better than to buy Netgear by now.
Probably will just return it to Amazon and buy a competitors and save myself the aggravation of dealing with Netgear support.

Re: XAV5101 Dropping connection?
Anybody from Netgear out there? I tried to connect to the internet today to download a file for Microsoft Security Essentials. 62MB file quoted at 18 hours to download, after ~30 minutes the transfer rate was 1.0 kb/sec and still decreasing!. Yes that is k not M. When I check the tranfer rates the 5001 shows ~160Mb xfer rate to the other 5001 and ~150Mb xfer rate to the 5004.
Is there a way to route the powerline adapters so that they send the data to a particular adapter? I get the feeling it just blindly sends the data over the powerline and the requests just go in circles to the other two adapters.
Again I have one 5001 connected to a netgear 2500 Router that connects to my UVerse modem, one 5001 connected to a PC (the problem area), and one 5004 connected to a Dish receiver and a Sony BluRay player.
