connecting a power strip to the powerline 2000
I love the idea of this device but I hate that it pretty much blocks me from using a grounded plug in the 2nd outlet on the wall (although I can use a non grounded plug). My question is, what can be plugged into the grounded outlet that's on the Powerline 2000. Can I plug a power strip into that outlet? If so, would I need to be mindful of how many and what type of devices are then plugged into the power strip? Thanks!

Why not do it the other way round?
Plug the strip into the socket and put the Powerlline plug into the strip.
I know that Netgear warns against this, but many of us have plugs in strips.
Just use a strip that doesn't have fancy noise suppression technology that can mess up the Powerline signal.
