netgear model EX5000 and model EX2800 -
I currently connect to model EX2800 WIFI Ext. Want to enhance house coverage and bought EX5000 model for upstairs. Cannot connect to a device. Light is Off. Can I have two seperate extenders connect to the same router?.

Re: netgear model EX5000 and model EX2800 -
What router do you have?
When you're setting them up, are you using wps or using the installation assistant?
You can run more then 1 extender, but I highly (very highly) recommend not daisy chaining them.
try powering off the original extender, setting up the new one, then powering on the old one.
For future reference, I usually always recommend moving to a full mesh system if you're needing more than 1 extender.

You have asked for help in the section given over to Home WiFi Adapters and Powerline. You can get Powerline plugs that incorporate a wifi access point. Is that what you had in mind?
If you want help with your existing EX2800 you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
WiFi Range Extenders & Nighthawk Mesh - NETGEAR Communities
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
