New stack member for M4300-12X12F
Hi,
I am planning to order a new stack member switch for M4300-12X12F with only 8-12 copper 1G ports.
From M4300 series, I shortlisted M4300-8X8F. Is there any other smaller switch (&lesser cost) with only 8 copper ports and 2-4 fiber 1/10G ports?
For stack cabling, can we use any 2 ports or is there any specific method? Pls share if there is any stacking related document

Re: New stack member for M4300-12X12F
Hi @adeeb_taqui
Welcome to Netgear comminuty, M4300-8X8F is the smallest one in M4300 series, no pre-configured stacking port, thant meaning any 10G port (copper, fiber) and any media type (RJ45, SFP+, DAC) can be used for stacking. Please get more detail from datasheet http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/datasheet/en/M4300.pdf
Thanks

Re: New stack member for M4300-12X12F
Hi @adeeb_taqui
Here is the Stacking Example you need, from the M4300 product page:
https://www.netgear.com/images/pdf/M4300_Series_How_to_stack_NETGEAR.pdf
You can use any port, any media and up to 16 ports per switch for stacking on every M4100 10G model. Please follow the application note step by step!
Regards,
