EX7320 Nighthawk AC200
NETGEAR Nighthawk X4 AC2200 WiFi Mesh Extender
Problems setting upp, connecting to a Orbi RBR50 + Satellite
During setup, Extender finds 2.4 & 5 Ghz WiFi from Orbi and manages to set up SSID_2.4GHZ & SSID_5Ghz networks.
Trying to connect (logging in from mobile), error message is extender can't connect to router.
What's wrong?

Re: EX7320 Nighthawk AC200
Hello Valérie,
Sorry about my previous short answer!
I can connect to teh EX7320 from my computer with a direct cable. (As I can with WiFi from a mobile phone to the EX7320 SSIDs set up according to instructions).
But then my computer browser tries to connect to http://192.168.1.250/login.html without success. Error message: "The extendert can't connect to the router".
Is it something I am missing completely?
Regards,
Arne

Re: EX7320 Nighthawk AC200
As I understand it the setup works fine!
- Power LED green
- WPS LED green
From a mobile phone, I can connect after a login to the extender.
- Client Link LED goes green
The Router Link LED does no go green. "The extender cannot connect to the router".
(A week ago I managed to set up an old "NETGEAR Universal WiFi Range Extender WN2000RPT" as extender but that one creates an SSID with another name, so that's why I am now trying with the EX7320.)
Best regards,
Arne

Re: EX7320 Nighthawk AC200
Hi again!
Now I am in touch with swedish NETGEAR support, just had a our and half over the phone session with them.
I seem to do everything right!
It could be a hardware pproblem with the extender, they will continue to check further if there is anything more to do before replacing unit.
Notes:
- Extender does no connect with WPS (although a very old NETGEAR extender does that perfectly).
- Extender has an old firmware verrsion 1.0.0.84, is there a way to update??
- After correct setup extender does not connect to router.
I will continue with the swedish support, thanks for all your assistance so far!
Best rgerads,
Arne

Re: EX7320 Nighthawk AC200
Hi @ValerieD ,
I am havig the exact same issue as the previous poster and getting an error that 'The extender can't connect to the router' -- the 'router link' does not light up at all. My router previous connected just fine but recently ran into issues so I tried to reset and now cannot connect.
Can you please advise on how to fix the issue?
Thanks you!

Re: EX7320 Nighthawk AC200
Hi @nyc232323 ,
Could you restart your Verizon router, then perform a Factory reset on the extender like this:
1. Insert a straightened paper clip into the hole of the Factory Reset button and hold it for
about seven seconds.
2. Release the Factory Reset button and wait for the extender to reboot. The extender resets and returns to the factory default settings.
CAUTION: Do not try to go online, turn off the extender, shut down the computer, or do anything else to the extender until it finishes restarting.
The extender resets and restarts. This process takes about one minute.
Have a nice day,
Valérie D
