How do I optimize my R6300 for download and upload?

On 2.4 and 5 GHz, how do I upload my R6300 for download and upload (to support streaming videos, game play, Website maintenance, as well as video conferences for work).

Testing with speedtest.net, I often see 20GHz download and 3GHz upload speeds, but I pay for and get with a direct wire to the cable modem 30/4.

Thoughts on optimizing my wireless router? Thanks!

Are you sung the 2.4 or 5 ghzt bands?
Get close to the router with minimal walls between.

1.. speed is not Ghz. usually Mbps or Kbps

2. test your speed baed on ethernet cable to the router as your base line. Taking the speed on wireless is relatively not accurate should not use as base line

Re: How do I optimize my R6300 for download and upload?

Thanks. I meant Mbps.

Are there optimizations I can do in the router itself? Here's how I am set up:

1) 5GHz network has two work laptops on it. Typically these are in the room with the router or through two sheetrock walls away, 20 ft max.

2) 2.4GHz has three play laptops on it. These laptops can't actually see the 5GHz network. These can be anywhere, but typically not more than 70 feet from the router through 2-3 sheetrock walls and/or one floor.

3) Guest network is set up on 2.4GHz (I don't use a 5GHz guest network). My smart TV (Amazon videos, Netflix) are on this, as is the XBox 360. Both are maybe 30 feet from the router through 3 sheetrock walls.

Thanks,

if you surrounded by other wireless channel you will not going to have always perfect signal as well and fluctuate so expecting to have same speed all the will not expected
