Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Hello.
After upgrading to 6.5.1 on my NAS readycloud shows ON in the Cloud tab but if I check on the mobile app or the readycloud website it shows as Offline.
Tried setting OFF and ON again, rebooting, and so on and nothing works.

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Since upgrading to 6.5.1 Readycloud shows Readynas offline. To discover the Readynas I have to hold down the Backup buttom to get the admin page. Readycloud on my Mobile Phone works ok? Readycloud is of no benefit at home, I canjust log in to Readynas Admin.

In Readycloud FAQ's it appears readycloud can only access Readynas remotely? I'll have to try this.

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Hi rollingo,
Do you have files saved on the private home shares or folders of your ReadyCLOUD admin or users? Also, can you confirm if your SSO ReadyCLOUD (e-mail address) account is used as an e-mail address by one of your local ReadyNAS users?
Kind regards,
BrianL

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Hello Brian,
I do have files in the readycloud private home and other users also. the email address for the SSO ReadyCLOUD is used by one of those readynas users.
I have 2 different NAS using the same account. One works fine, the other appears offline.

Hi rollingo,
Have the local user/s e-mail address changed to something else and reboot your system. Let us know if this fixes your problem.
Kind regards,

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Hi Brian.
My Nas is connected to the power, the internet and I am the only one using it. It does antyvirus definition updates every day. It uses two Folders, one for "Windows Backup and Restore" which gets updated once a week and one "Hermanns-PC-Pictures" which I can access from my mobile phone with the Readycloud App. Only Readycloud Desctop can not find the Nas. Even my new TV list's the Nas on the network. I reinstalled Readycloud and got an error message from Windows Smart Screen Filter: unrecognised app Unknown Publisher, I had to override it. I can log in to Readycloud and Readynas is still offline.

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Hi,
I do have exactly the same problem since the update 6.5.0.
I can connect to readycloud's website but the NAS appears as Offline even if the Online Services are checked as available (as the batfish's screenshots show) in the local interface (with the NAS's IP).
I tried everything to solve this but it still does not work (desactivate and reactivate the service, forward port 6300 to the NAS's IP, etc.).
Can I have help about this topic please ?
I called your support and they did not find any solution...
I have bought this product because it is supposed to be easy to configure...Why this update crashed the Readycloud services ?!
In an other way, do you have an alternative way for remote access (with a mobile phone or tablet) to the NAS data ?
Thank you in advance for your understanding and don't hesitate to ask me for details.
Best regards,
Maxime

There are quite a few other options.
-If your router supports OpenVPN you can use that to reach your home network while away. I use that with PCs, Android, and IoS (and probably windows phones).
-BTSync can also be used to selectivly copy files to/from your devices to the NAS. I use this to transfer media selectively, there are free apps for both Android and IoS.
-OwnCloud is probably closest to ReadyCloud. I haven't used it myself, but others here have.
-You can enable ftps, open appropriate ports in your home router, and access NAS files that way. GoodReader works on IoS, Solid File Explorer works for Android, and FileZilla works for PCs. I've used this method for several years, but am phasing it out in favor of OpenVPN (which gives me full access to my home network, not just the NAS).
-If you are interested only in media streaming, you can use plex

Hi rollingo,
Under Accounts->Users, select properties and from there you can edit/change the e-mail address.
Hope this helps!

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Hello, there are no other accounts than admin, so there is no emails addresses.
the only accounts used are cloud accounts.
I disabled IPv6, tried using DHCP and so on.
It still doesnt work. What should I do? return the NAS to the shop?

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Hi rollingo,
There's also one more option that you can disable and it might help discovering your ReadyNAS in the cloud. Kindly untick Encryption in the Cloud tab->Settings and reboot your system. Once done, update this thread on what happens.
Kind regards,

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Hello,
The encryption is already disabled on my NAS.
I got the online services available but when I log in to readycloud, it says 'NAS is offline' or 'No volumes or USB disks'.
It appears that we are not the only ones to meet this problem.
What should we do to solve this ?
Thank you in advance for your support.

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
Strangely, since today, I can access my NAS via the mobile app (RCLOUD Netgear)
Whereas,it still appears 'No volumes or USB disks' on the readycloud's website.
Any ideas why it is working on the mobile app and not with the online platform ?
Have a good day.

Re: Nas shows ReadyCloud ON but on the readycloud website appears as OFFLINE
It was working well on the mobile app but since a few minutes I can only browse folders without accessing the files.
The mention 'Connected (VPN)' doesn't appear anymore. Only 'Connexion' appears, without success as the screenshot shows below.
I suppose that my firewall block this access. But I already forwarded port 6300 to the NAS's IP. Can I play with other parameters to stabilize this readycloud account?
Thank you in advance.

Would someone mind mailing in their logs ATTN to me re: ReadyCLOUD showing "online" via the UI but "offline" on the ReadyCLOUD website? Just want to see if anything is standing out to me.

Normal procedure is to email them. The email address is in the knowledge base article ( http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/21543/~/how-do-i-send-all-logs-to-readynas-community-m... )
