ReadyCloud - local user already exists.

ReadyCloud - local user already exists.

Dear Netgear forum,

 

I've created an ReadyCloud account. In the next step I've tried to login and i got a popup with the message "local user already exists."

How do I fix this problem?

Hi Tombressinck,

 

Are you trying to make this new user ID the admin? Or are you trying to share or invite this new user ID?

 

Kindly check the ff. articles and see if it'll help you with your problem.

Hello Tombressinck,

 

Please make sure NOT to use a username that is the same with any local username and share name on the NAS.

 

Do you already have a main ReadyCloud account (serves as the ReadyCloud admin accnt for your NAS) that you are adding another one? Or this is the main ReadyCloud account for your NAs that you are trying to create?

 

Please give us some screenshots of the error message, where you get the message and the Accounts - Cloud Users screen of the admin page.
