Re: What is my server address???

Use RAIDar on a PC to discover your NAS: https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads#raidar

You're the only one who can know your username and password, but by default the ReadyNAS administrator account is: admin / password

What app?  Are you expecting it to work over your home WiFi, or are you expecting it to work when you are away from home?

Re: What is my server address???

You can also use the app called (NETGEAR) Insight on your phone to discover your NAS.

You need to install the owncloud server app on the NAS, and the owncloud client app on the iphone.

You'll also need to forward the appropriate ports in your router to the NAS, and also get a ddns name that points to your router (noip still offers a free service).

I don't use owncloud myself, so hopefully someone does can point you to a suitable guide.

Re: What is my server address???

Thank you but that sounds hard to do
All the apps are so slow to access my photos
The ready cloud app is so slow
Im looking for an easy app to look at my photos and music

Sorry, I'll let @StephenB help you on this one, it's not helping that our messages collide 😉

Most of the ways of doing this (other than readycloud) will require either getting a DDNS name for your router, or port forwarding - or both.

Is the goal simply to view photos/listen to music that is stored on the NAS?

If so, plex is one option - it requires port forwarding, but not DDNS.

It's not for the faint of heart.  Which NAS do you have?  ZeroTier may meet your needs better, but the ReadyNAS app is only available for OS 6.6.0 and up.

But if ReadyCloud and ReadyNAS Photos are slow, it's likely because the upload speed provided by your ISP is slow and nothing except a more expensive service tier from them is going to solve it.

Re: What is my server address???

FWIW, just pointing out that the OP hasn't answered @StephenB's question: "Are you expecting it to work over your home WiFi, or are you expecting it to work when you are away from home?"  If it's the first, then all this scary talk about routers and ports might not be necessary.

Edit: correction

Yes.  I've assuming (since he's mentioned OwnCloud and ReadyCloud after that question was asked) that he wants remote access.

Home network access is of course much simpler.
