This has been happening since I've started watching for about a year now, never changing. My entire home infrastructure is completely different and no change. I have UPnP disabled as well.
I understand it's waiting for a connection from the mobile app I'm assuming but holy hell why 9,000 times? It calls to the localdomain as well which isn't a big deal but that's 18,000 calls. Ubiquiti UniFi, the ping.ubnt.com domain, does this as well but at a reasonable 1472 times.
Can someone justify this to me? The only way I can fix this is by invovling some rate limiting using the likes of iptables on my router but what it doing?
