I lost access to the GUI. It just say Device Offline.

Re: 6.1.1 [T1832] Lost access to GUI
Try rebooting the NAS. Which model is this?
Is the NAS under heavy load at the moment? If so, you may wish to just wait for the load to go down and try again.

Re: 6.1.1 [T1832] Lost access to GUI
It is running a backup job right now.
(%Cpu(s): 0.1 us, 9.9 sy, 0.0 ni, 69.9 id, 20.0 wa, 0.0 hi, 0.2 si, 0.0 st)
Could it be the backup job locking the frontview database?
It's model 312.
I'll try again when the backup job has finished and reboot it if the GUI is still not working.

I don't think that would use up so much resources that the Dashboard stops working but it would be worth checking if that is the case.

Re: 6.1.1 [T1832] Lost access to GUI
Now when the backup job finished (after 9,5 hours) I have access to the GUI again (without a reboot)!
Looks like there's a problem with the GUI when backup jobs are running.
As it was a remote nfs backup job (56GB file) with only 15MBit upload available it did not take up much CPU usage so there seems to be a bug somewhere.

Re: 6.1.1 [T1832] Lost access to GUI
Tried to backup the same files using rsync and it did not give any problems.
I then tried to backup with remote nfs once more and again the GUI stops working when about 40GB of the 56GB file has been transferred (about 7 hours from backup start).

7 hours for 40 GB is rather slow btw.

Re: 6.1.1 [T1832] Lost access to GUI
It's using all of my 15MBit upload speed. I cannot get more upload speed at my current ISP.
The speed i ok for me - it's only remote backup - but inaccessible GUI is a problem 🙂

Re: 6.1.1 [T1832] Lost access to GUI
I was just thinking that the slow speed might also be a symptom, but of course its not. I didn't realize it was an over-the-internet backup - that explains the throughput.

Re: 6.1.1 [T1832] Lost access to GUI
During backup running now to a usb hdd drive, GUI is indeed not responsive, i allso got kicked out from the SSH login. The 104 is totally not responsive and acces through ssh is allso not possible and the backup button on the nas is flasing. The 2 backup jobs are about 20GB together. Strange that it takes so long when it comes to scheduled backups. Starting the backups manualy, the backup procedure goes many times faster.
After 4 hours still no acces..

Re: 6.1.1 [T1832] Lost access to GUI
Is there any solution to this OR should I post another Thread? This is still happening with F/W 6.4.1. and really annoying as I need access to Admin Page during backups on occasion as Backups via USB is stupidly slow (which is a different topic).
Cheers
