Re: ReadyNAS OS 6.0.8
Netgear has released an ARM version of ReadyNAS OS 6, http://support.netgear.com/product/ReadyNAS-OS6
Shouldn't it now be possible to make a unofficial upgrade from R5 (arm) to R6 (arm) the same way it is possible to upgrade R4 (x86) to R6 (x86)? Except if ReadyNAS OS 6 ARM only supports newer ARM CPU like those in ReadyNAS 102 and 104.
CPU Specifications
- ReadyNAS Duo v2 and NV+ v2 = 1.6 GHz Marvell single-core ( http://www.netgear.no/home/products/storage/prosumer/RND4000.aspx#two and http://www.netgear.no/home/products/storage/prosumer/RND2000.aspx#two ). More info here, Marvell SoC 88F6282 ARMv5TE @1.6Ghz, http://natisbad.org/NAS/index.html#hw.
- ReadyNAS 102 and 104 = Marvell® Armada 370 1.2GHz ( http://www.netgear.com/landing/storage/for_home.html#3 )

Re: ReadyNAS OS 6.0.8
Though a fair bit of the hardware is similar, things such as the CPU are different. I don't think ReadyNAS OS supports the Duo/NV+ v2 hardware.
