Hi,

Dou you have anyn idea how far is the release date for the new firmware?

RC1 seems to be stable and quick enough...

Hello Miklos,

It does appear you manage to upgrade the firmware to official 6.8.0 version which was just recently release and it appears to be working fine. If your issue is now resolved, we encourage you to mark the appropriate reply as the “Accept as Solution” or post what resolved it and mark it as solution so others can be confident in benefiting from the solution.

Hello Miklos,

As for the official release of the firmware version 6.8.0 we have not received an update yet, however I believe it will be released soon.

Re: ETA for 6.8.0?

Hello,

I'm using the 6.8.0 RC1

just downloaded the full release of 6.8 for a manual upgrade.

I tried uploading the file & got the "Unknown Server Error" message and couldn't do anything else.

Tips anyone?

Thanks!

Re: ETA for 6.8.0?

Odd.

I closed Chrome, then reloggedin using IE11.09 and a prompt telling me that 6.80 was uploaded asking me to reboot and upgrade or close.

Just did the upgrade and it seems to be fine.

Re: ETA for 6.8.0?

Hi,

I have experienced the very same... Possibly there was a hidden bug in the RC1 - hopefully it was picked up and got corrected before the final version of 6.8.0 got released... Worst case it will be corrected in 6.8.1 😉

Re: ETA for 6.8.0?

I can confirm that the firmware upgrade was successful - I have re-enabled both the File Seach and Antivirus features as well.

Let's wait and see how it performs...

However I have high hopes 🙂

Miklos

I've gotten this same error since ~6.7.0, especially when using Safari.

Also, https://kb.netgear.com/000045831/ReadyNAS-OS-6-Software-Version-6-8-0

We launch to the KB/Community first then wait 1 week to publish to automatic update server.

Re: ETA for 6.8.0?

Good stuff.  Please can you also advise when source code will be up for those of us that like to customise the kernel options for things like ebtables.

It usually takes about a week after release.

But you don't need to wait for the on-line update - you can do a manual install from the settings->update page.  The firmware is here: https://kb.netgear.com/000045831/ReadyNAS-OS-6-Software-Version-6-8-0  Just unzip and install.
