cronjob does not executes changes ?
I recently changed my cronjob via cronjob -e but my changes have not been recognized; i also restarted cron service, but no way. Any ideas ?

Re: cronjob does not executes changes ?
Have you checked the cron log? Does that give any clues?
Have you run the modified command/script manually and if so, did it work then?
Have you tried rebooting the NAS?
Rather than editing the crontab, it would be better in my view to create a file in /etc/cron.d with the appropriate ownership and permissions and use that.

Re: cronjob does not executes changes ?
It looks like i cannot edit cronjobs via crontab -e
Instead i have to edit the /etc/crontab directly ?

Re: cronjob does not executes changes ?
Setup a new cron in cron.hourly now works as expected; however crontab -e does not work at all ...

Re: cronjob does not executes changes ?
I think we might overwrite /etc/crontab on firmware updates if I recall correctly so you shouldn't modify that. Adding files in e.g. /etc/cron.hourly as you have done is what you should do.
