the install appears too complete and i also get a message saying that it has indeed completed.
But the message doesnt dissappear and i cant use readycloud as you need to complete the update, despite already doing so?

In RAIDar, which firmware is showing as running on the NAS?
Can you try going into the local admin interface and updating the firmware using that?

Re: readycloud update message even after completing updade
Hello Pr1moboy,
Can you still map the NAS?
Backup the important data/files stored, 6.1.9 is too old, there are a lot of changes on 6.2.0, you need to update to 6.2.0 first.
There is a need to factory reset the NAS after updating to 6.2.0. Then once done, update to the latest. I believe ReadyCloud access will not work on lower version than 6.2 anymore that is why you really to update if you want to use the ReadyCloud. It also uses ReadyCloud app no more ReadyNAS Remote.
I suggest reading ReadyNAS OS 6.2.0 first.

Re: readycloud update message even after completing updade
Hello Pr1moboy,
See http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26042 from here you will be able to download the firmware for the NAS you have.
On the bottom you will see How do I locally update the firmware on my ReadyNAS OS 6 storage system?
Do this after you have successfully back up the files.

Re: readycloud update message even after completing updade
Pr1moboy I would like to have a remote look at your system before you make any further attempts at doing a firmware update.
I have sent you a PM.
