4.1.9 T2 Performance

With the release of 4.1.9 T2, what performance are people seeing with AFP?

I am getting about 17 Mb/s write and and about 30 Mb/s read over gigabit ethernet (MTU 1500).

2 Disk X Raid Config on a readynas Duo. Full Disk Journaling, disabled.

Copying video files to ReadyNAS from OSX 10.7.2 using AFP in Finder

Alex.

Do you mean 4.1.9-T2? The Duo runs the 4.1.x series firmware.

Re: 4.1.9 T2 Performance

AMAZING !!! I was searching for ages how I could speed up my 3 NV+ (max 11Mo/s read, 27Mo/s write CIFS under Windows 7) and then I installed 4.1.9-T2... now close to 30Mo/s for both read and write.

don't know what you did guys, but that wasn't only for AFP...

MANY THANKS for this performance boost 😄

Re: 4.1.9 T2 Performance

OMG Finally!!!!! After racking my brain trying everything from installing a new router, wasting much time and money trying to solve this. The best i could manage was about 4-5MB/s read and 11MB/s write. I thought this was odd since there is no way i should be able to write that much faster than read. I tried everything from MTU settings to you name it.

Now i get 12MB/s read and write. I think i'm limited to my cat5e cable now, which is fine.

--Thanks!!
