6.1.7 (RC5) Scrub stuck at 2.49%

Performance is terrible and reboots are required a few times a day. btrfs scrub status show a scrub that was started on 3/13/14. I can't cancel, stop or start it. The reboot comes back to the same place every time.

Try commands in SSH
btrfs scrub status /volume_name check scrub status
btrfs scrub start /volume_name start scrub job
btrfs scrub cancel /volume_name stop scrub job

In FrontView, it started from 2.49% and looked like it completed. It went a few hours and is now back showing 2.98%. Now is not showing in front view that it's running at all, but if I try to start it from SSH, it says its already running. If I try to start it from front view i get the 14007010000 error in scrub message. Now it is showing .12% and running again. It doesn't seem to be able to make up its mind if it wants to run it or now. Message just logged that it has started rebuilding the volume.

Factory reset. All is well except the PITA data restore...
