There is a bit going on this system.
You have four volumes and the system is still looking for a few old volumes you used to have in the NAS.
Also I see you are running the ReadyDLNA and iTunes Server services. Can you check if the system shuts down properly if you disable these?
I can see you have installed some apps e.g. MySQL, Transmission etc. however Transmission doesn't appear to be installed correctly. I'm not seeing the app from Available Apps in the web admin interface or apps.readynas.com installed.
Also you are using some SeaGate 8TB archive disks. These are not on the compatibility list.

Re: rn104 freezes on shutdown
Hi pdasterly,
Is there a backup job running? Any apps installed or running in your system? Did you shut the unit down using the GUI option or graceful shutdown method?
Looking forward to your response.
Kind regards,
BrianL

Re: rn104 freezes on shutdown
Hi pdasterly,
If you will try to manually shut it down, will you get the same behavior? I'm currently testing it on my own unit and I will post the result afterwards.
Kind regards,

Re: rn104 freezes on shutdown
Hi pdasterly,
Mine's working just fine, either GUI triggered or graceful shutdown on the main unit. Can you send us a copy of your device logs?
Kind regards,

Re: rn104 freezes on shutdown
O.K. So it could be that one of those services was preventing it from shutting down correctly. You try enabling one of them then shutting down, then booting again and disabling the service again and enabling the other and seeing if it shuts down correctly with that one enabled.
