Auto data and configuration lost after reboot
I Have ReadyNAS 316 and one fine day I lost my full data which was about 16TB and all the configuration, Upon investigation I found that it was factory restore but however it wasn’t initiated by any of my users Netgear couldn’t provide me the source IP address of Machine which initiated the factory restore however I found that https://advisor.ngxcld.com/ URL was accessing my NAS box (Firewall report)I was told the above URL doesn’t belong to Netgear. I am not sure how can third parties can access the Device without Netgear’ knowledge. Is there a way to find the root cause?

Re: Auto data and configuration lost after reboot
FWIW, http://whois.domaintools.com/92.242.140.21 says that 8 different web servers are using the IP address.
Are you allowing https traffic to reach the NAS in your firewall? If you are, then why do you think this has anything to do with Netgear?
