Cannot Connect to ReadyNAS Replicate
I have 2 ReadyNASes that were previously connected to a ReadyNAS replicate account. I factory restored one of the ReadyNASes then took the other off the ReadyNAS replicate account because I was having issues.
NOW I can't get reconnected. I verified that the log-in credentials work fine. If you refer to the pictures below, you'll see me logging into the ReadyNAS account with my credentials.
But, when I try turning on the ReadyNAS Replicate feature on either of my machines, its a no go. It simply tells me that I don't have the correct credentials:
If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. Please keep in mind that I VERIFIED that the credentials are working to log me in directly to ReadNAS replicate as shown in the pictures above.

Re: Cannot Connect to ReadyNAS Replicate
Hi KayZak,
What firmware are you currently using on the ReadyNAS units? Would you also be able to try setting static DNS on both of them? Try using 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8.

Re: Cannot Connect to ReadyNAS Replicate
I really need to start putting all the basic steps I've put done so far, because its getting anoying repeating myself. Yes, I've dealt with ALL the basic troubleshooting steps available for a Ready/NAS, including what you just mentioned @FramerV

Re: Cannot Connect to ReadyNAS Replicate
Hi KayZak,
I did not see the other post that you have, I think that was also about replicate.
I notice that mdgm is checking the device for you. I will have this case assigned to him as well as it looks related to it.

Re: Cannot Connect to ReadyNAS Replicate
Hi,
I'm wondering what the resolution was to this issue. I am having (what seems to be) exactly the same issue. I'm running 2x RN312 2-bay units and have decided to upgrade the storage from 2x2TB to 2x4TB. I have one chassis upgraded and now neither will connect to Replicate. Which is a shame because I **love** Replicate. It has worked flawlessly for me for years between the two chassis'.
Reason I say it feels exactly the same is:
1) I can login successfully to replicate.readynas.com
2) When I login I get the same message that I have no devices connected to the account
3) When I login to the device admin screen, all appears 'green' (connected to internet etc)
4) When I attempt to switch on 'ReadyNAS Replicate' and enter the account I get a "User name or password is invalid" message. I am totally sure I am using the same username and password. I have even tried copying-and-pasting the same text in to each login just to be sure!
Appreciate any thoughts on resolution please.
Thank you

Re: Cannot Connect to ReadyNAS Replicate
Thanks StephenB, I'll give that a try.
May take until the weekend to have a go with it as the family are still verifying that all their files have made it across to the new disks and not until then will I blow away the old ones.
I'll revert to let you know what I find out and how it goes.
Thanks

Re: Cannot Connect to ReadyNAS Replicate
rsync of course is another option, and is the best choice if you want to simply copy the shares to the destination machine.
ReadyDR is similar to replicate in functionality.

Re: Cannot Connect to ReadyNAS Replicate
Hello Kayzak
ReadyNAS Replicate relies on remote service to work, can you please set DNS to 8.8.8.8 and see if it can fix the issue?
if you cannot fix the issue, please send system log, I will help you to check the leafp2p log.

Re: Cannot Connect to ReadyNAS Replicate
Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the tips and ideas.
1) I did try the 8.8.8.8 DNS setting, but still couldn't get a connection.
2) I did get the 'vanilla' backup working (in the admin account, under the "Backup" menu by just creating 'Jobs' (not even ReadyDR)
3) I ended up creating a new Netgear Remote account and reconfiguring everything to connect to the new account
4) This wasn't without some perplexing things that worked as expected and others that didn't, but using the traditional "reboot and try again" method got through all the perplexing situations.
So now I have a new Remote account which the two boxes are successfully connected to and a successful "Replicate" schedule that has been working for 24hrs without any dramas.
I'm back to where I wanted to be and the family has a solid NAS with a reliable backup.
Success!
Again - thanks to everyone for the different ideas.
