Netgear ReadyNas RNDP4000

Hello,

I have a ReadyNas RNDP4000 and I recently factory reset it and now I am not able to access it remotely and nor it is discoverable on the ReadyCloud. Please advice.

Thanks

Hi mkarimi,

You can find the instructions on this thread:

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS-in-Business/Ultra-6-OS-Upgrade-from-4-2-30-to-O...

For the latest working download links, you can find it on this thread:

Please note that converting your NAS to OS6 is not supported by NETGEAR. Any support on the device will be denied by NETGEAR once you convert it to OS6.

Re: Netgear ReadyNas RNDP4000

Hi mkarimi,

Welcome to the Community!

May I know the current operating system of your NAS? Is it running on 4.2.x or did you convert it to OS6?

If the current operating system of your NAS is on 4.2.x, ReadyCLOUD will not detect it. Only the OS6 units have support on ReadyCLOUD.

Yes, currently it is running 4.2.31.

How I am going to convert it to OS 6?

Do you have any instructions for that?

Thanks

Manan

Re: Netgear ReadyNas RNDP4000

I tried it and it is resyncing now. I tried to access it online using the IP and now the default username and password is not working. before I was using the default username name and password but now it is seem like it is not working. Is the username and password different for OS 6 version?

Thanks

Manan

Re: Netgear ReadyNas RNDP4000

Hi mkarimi,

Yes, the default admin credential is different for OS6 devices. The default username is admin and the default password is password.

You may check this article for the steps in joining the NAS to ReadyCLOUD.
