Newbie having difficulty setting up ReadyNas 214 for first time

I plugeed in the unit...2 discs are inserted.  I powered on and it started doing a sync....took many hours (brand new 2TB hdd).  However when I go to the ReadyCLOUD page and "Discover" the unit can't be found.  I have the ethernet cable plugged into the back of my computer, which is wirelessly connected to my router (downstairs)...and I do have internet connectivity.

Currently the power light is on...sometimes blinks...and sometimes the green "act" light blinks. I'm clueless.   Hopefully I can find support on the forum...otherwise I'll just contact tech support.
