One ReadyCloud user gets VPN disconnected and one gets no registered devices

I have this issue which is user specific. If I login using one user the ReadyCloud App works fine. Whereas for one user the ReadyCloud App says "VPN disconnected". FOr third user, it says "NO registered devices".

Not sure what's happening. I have tried all the various suggestions since 2012 postings. None of these work reliably. I guess I do not have a clear understanding as to what is an impact to a specific action. For the same action at different times there's either no impact or different impact.

Also, could someone suggest how to edit/remove a ReadyCloud admin user account?

Re: ReadyNAS Online (VPN Disconnected) Windows and Android

Hello neerajain,

I've moved your post as a new topic as the thread where you posted it is old.

Perhaps you can add what ReadyNAS device you are using and if all these users are joined and invited to access the same ReadyNAS unit. Please also include what happens when you log in each user to the ReadyCloud portal instead of ReadyCloud desktop client. The ReadyNAS does have ReadyCloud that you will need to enable using a ReadyCloud account, which of the accounts you mentioned is the main one that you used to enable ReadyCloud of the admin page?

Welcome to the community!

Re: ReadyNAS Online (VPN Disconnected) Windows and Android

I have activated ReadyCloud option usin my local admin account on ReadyNas Device; no issues with that. Then I logged into my ReadyCloud account and invited different users by granting them access to specific folders. They did receive the invite and joined the folder. At this point when they logged into ReadyCloud they could see and access the shared folder. Also, they were able to see and access the same folder through the desktop App. The next day everything disappeared. it said there's no NAS device attached to your account etc....same message on Ready Cloud Web appliaction as well as on desktip application. (These are all non-admin accounts). I tried to unshare the folder and shared again and repeated the same cycle, again after a day or so it went back to the same "No devices attached".

Second issue:

I as an admin when login to Desktop Application from remote location it always says VPN disconnected. However, I can still access the contents using web application. This is also happening with another non-admin user. This user cannot connect to the VPN and cannot access the contents through Web App either due to the above listed issue.

MY ReadyNas Model is RN102

Can you please send the logs? Please add the link to this thread to the email.

Also, PM me the ReadyCloud user accounts, indicate which account has the admin rights for ReadyCloud access.
