The issue can be with the Chassis since you tried another adapter that is working and still the NAS did not respond, it would be best if you can contact Support so they can provide you assistance on replacing your chassis if needed.
You can contact Support by logging into my.netgear.com and create your online case for reference.
I would also suggest to try limiting using all caps when typing as it may sound like you are shouting and don't post your SN publicly as this can compromise your privacy. 🙂
