RN316 - Critical message - tmpfs's usage is 95%...

Hi guys,


Strange one here. 

I am receiving the following Email alert message from a ReadyNAS 316:


"System volume tmpfs's usage is 95%. This condition should not occur under normal conditions. Contact technical support."


The Logs don't show anything out of the ordinary, and there is ample space (3.4TB) available on the main share.

Clearly some system partition is filling up but I don't know how to get further information.

There are no Apps installed on the NAS, Antivirus is disabled, and Auditing is disabled.


Any ideas?

You could enable ssh, and look using the linux command line.


Or contact paid Netgear support, and let them fix it.


You might have lifetime chat support for your NAS.  Were you the original purchaser?  If so, when did you purchase?


Lifetime chat support was included with NAS purchased between June 1, 2014 and May 31, 2016.
