ReadyCLOUD on a shared computer

Is there a way to have each user on a single computer log in (and stay logged in i.e. autologin) to their own account and therefore have access to their own share. Currently, when any user logs in to Windows, ReadyCLOUD logs in with the last user's ID and password and therefore sees the wrong shares?

Re: ReadyCLOUD on a shared computer

Hello jwedwards,

"Stay signed in" option would automatically signed in with the account before log off or computer shut down, and see the shares this user can access.

Currently there is no way to specify a user to signed in automatically for single computer. We just use "Stay signed in" option to use the last account to sign in.

Best Regards.

This amounts to "just bad programming".  Any information the application saves should be in a user's directory (typically AppData), even if there is only one user.  Thus the option of "stay logged in" (or not) and the account information would be unique to each user.  I suppose you could store it in the HCU registry instead, but that doesn't seem to be the best idea to me.

I agree with Sandshark. It doesn't seem very well designed. To me, it's obvious that different users should have access to different shares and I don't want them to have to log in every time just to sync their folders. For me, it's a showstopper. I was trying to move away from using Dropbox (which works perfectly) as some of my users are filling up their quotas.

Re: ReadyCLOUD on a shared computer

Hi,

Readycloud admin user for device can see all shares, and this admin user can invite other accounts to access some shares. Then different invitee login to readycloud app, he can only see shares he have access to, and his own home folder.

You can disable "Stay sign in" option, then every time readycloud app start you need sign in with appropriate account(readycloud admin user or different invitee) to see shares he have access to.

Best Regards.

Too risky. If they forget to sign in, their folders aren't synced. I'm sticking with the Dropbox solution (auto login, auto sync) until this is fixed.
