ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

Hi anyone,

Do you update to the latest version ReadyCloud v2.0.1 (iPhone 7+), but seems it doesn't work.

Just start the app and nothing happens, does anyone have the same issue?

Can't logout or select in the left upper menu!

I can't see the device also, before the update it was possible!

@netgear: Did Netgear check carefully the latest version before updating?

Do you have recomments what further to do for all customers how have the same issue?

Regards,

Klaus

Suggestion for all,

Reboot your iPhone and wait a while! (10 min.)

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

I can logout, yeah....!

Login again and try to upload my pictures >9000 (pictues), but no luck today!

Anyway the latest update doesn't solve the earlier issue (reported last year 2017): "Error Request faild: 409 - conflict (in ReadyCloud)".

Error Request faild: 409 - conflict (in ReadyCloud) - this problem is still there!

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

I updated my app as well and had the same problem of it not working. I turned off my phone for a few minutes, turned it back on, and then it started working. My biggest problem is that it reset my media backup so it wanted to copy 8,000 plus pictures to the ReadyNAS again. Then in conjunction with the server 409 error, I gave up. I started backing up photos via a usb flash drive with the lightning plug for iPhone. Then take that Backup, plug it into the computer and drag and drop onto the ReadyNAS. I can access all my photos and now I have an additional backup stored on a flash drive as well.

Hello Kmalin15

Did you backup photos in your home network(LAN mode)?I don't see such error when backing up 4000+ photos to ReadyNAS.

can you change destination folder to see if it can fix the issue?

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

Yes I was connected locally. Mine works for the most part, I just didn’t want to deal with backing up 8,000 pictures again and having duplicates. The flash drive method just seems to work better for me and it doesn’t tie up my phone for too long. Backing up using the ReadyCLOUD app takes my phone too long and I can’t do anything else or it’ll stop the Backup. I do have it set to back up in the background but I don’t think that works either.

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

Hi,

Last year 2017 reported and Netgear knows the issue (please see in a previous chapter of it), but seems still not working after the latest update. ReadyCloud v2.0.1 (iPhone 7+)

All works fine till the latest OS (6.9.3) update!

In between I need to backup more than > 9000 picture!

LAN: there is or was nothing changed. Even when a new directory is created the issue is still there.

@netgear: Did Netgear check carefully the latest version before updating?

Do you have recommends what further to do for all customers how have the same issue?

Actually I curious what happens behind the screen to solve this issue sinds 2017?

Agreed. ReadyCloud v2.0.1 does not work on iOS 11.3. Just tried it again and it still does not work.

Reinstalled the app and still does not work. Get "Error - Network Error occured" after selecting my ReadyNAS unit

Netgear - Any update on a fix?

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

I am on iOS 11.4 (beta), App v2.0.1, and OS 6.9.3, and am getting “Network error occurred”. I was getting this error, then got everything to work once I reinstalled the OS on my NAS, but then the error came back.

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

There is clearly a problem with the latest release of Readycloud on the latest iOS release. I have the same issue on my iPhone and several iPads.

I tried it on my older iPad mini with iOS 9 and ReadyCloud 2.0.0 and it works fine, so it might not be a problem with the ReadyNAS O/S.

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

It appears if my iOS device is connected to the LAN through WiFi, I get the error. Once I shut down WiFi and go through my cellular data connection, the iOS ReadyCloud app connect to my NAS. When I turned on WiFi again, shutdown my cellular data connection, the error comes back.

NETGEAR, the problem clearly lies with the iOS ReadyCLOUD app not being able to use the local LAN when there is one available (unless that is by design and can only get to the NAS through the Internet).

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

Still have cellular data shut off and now I can connect to NAS using ReadyCLOUD app using WiFi...definitely some bugs in the app.

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

I confirmed the exact same behavior as Walshlink. The app is definitely flakey. Works on cell connection, doesn't work Local LAN.

Using cellular data (and disabling WiFi) seems to work just fine.

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

Hi all,

Do you have the same problem as me with ReadyCloud (v2.0.1) on a iPhone (iOS11.3)?

I have a small update:

Netgear provided me today an higher version (v2.0.2) for testing it. It seems that this version also isn't working!

(Even I created a new directory! It's not working)

Netgear is on the moment busy to find the root cause.

When they have found it they will solve it with a new relase!

So keep in touche, I will update this Topic in here when it is solved!

Klaus

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

Hi all,

Netgear provides me a patch update for RedayCloud NAS OS6.9.3.

It seems it works fine, but I need to check my destination directory for more than >9000 pictures.

This coast a lot of time to verify it.... and I need to scedule it...

Netgear will update this topic soon!

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

Hi all,

Happy to share with you!

To install package, please login admin UI and go to Apps>Upload

I asked Netgear to share both files, beacuse I can't share with you! (I'm sorry)

- AMD64 is for x86 based NAS

- Armel is for ARM

409 conflict issue is caused by an IOS software issue,so after the update issue of your NAS should be resolved.

When the 2 files are added I will close this topic, happy end!

Regards,

Klaus

Re: ReadyCloud v2.0.1(today updated) but seems it doesn't work

Ok, just installed the patch on my ReadyNAS 516. Rebooted the NAS, then rebooted my iPhone and started up ReadyCloud. Logged in to my Netgear account. It shows my ReadyNAS box but as soon as I click on it I still have the same error message:

Error

Network error occured

This is on the my home network. When I try the same thing while connected to the cell network, I can log in and see my shares on the ReadyNAS.

Am I missing a step?
