Any plan for officially upgrading pydio and php?
I am wondering why the appications on the application market OS 6.3.5 are so outdated.
As an example Pydio is very outdated (v5.2.3) and the latest version is 6.0.8 (which recommends php >5.6.x)
Neither PHP nor Pydio 6.0> are officialy availiable and the pydio internal webpage upgrading of the old pydio to version 6.0.8
does not work properly and after upgrading the upgraded pydion can not commiunicate with its pydiosync 6+ PC application and many of the settings
will not work.
Is there any plan for upgrading both of them officialy ??

Re : Any plan for officially upgrading pydio and php?
Hi,
This is the error that I get
# dpkg -i pydio_6.0.8_all.deb Selecting previously unselected package pydio. (Reading database ... 17310 files and directories currently installed.) Would you mind kindly tell me step by step how can I fix the dependencies errors?
I suppose that the PHP5.6 is included in this .deb package
Thanks

No. You need to install the PHP5.6 package first.

Re : Any plan for officially upgrading pydio and php?
Where and how?
Is it avaliable on ReadyNAS repository or shall I download it as a debian package that is avaliable on the community dropbox which is 12KB!?
I tried the 12KB .deb package on the community dropbox and I still get following problem.
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of pydio:
pydio depends on php5-gd (>= 5.6.4~); however:
Version of php5-gd on system is 5.4.41-0+deb7u1.
pydio depends on php5-pthreads; however:
Package php5-pthreads is not installed.
dpkg: error processing pydio (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Re : Any plan for officially upgrading pydio and php?
Hi,
I already read the readme_1st.txt file I tried a couple of times-more than 3 times! gui installation and I always get System: Failed to install application 'pydio_6.0.8_all.deb'.
I also tried apt-get update , and dpkg -i pydio_6.0.8_all.deb
I GET SAME ERRORS
In addition I have no owncloud on my NAS,
dotdeb.gpg 100%[=======================================================================================================================================>] 5.17K --.-KB/s in 0s 2015-08-23 14:06:30 (108 MB/s) - ‘dotdeb.gpg’ saved [5299/5299] OK dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of pydio: pydio depends on php5-gd (>= 5.6.4~); however: Version of php5-gd on system is 5.4.41-0+deb7u1. pydio depends on php5-pthreads; however: Package php5-pthreads is not installed. dpkg: error processing pydio (--install): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: pydio
I have following apps installed on my system (I have no clue if something is missed or not!!!!)
My RDNAS-OS version is 6.3.5
Symform 4.24.0
MySql Server 1.0.1
SMB Plus 1.0.3
Transmission for ReadyNAS 3.00.8
htop 1.0.0
Pydio package 6.0.8-14MB provided on your dropbox is not at all installing (Even several time trying via GUI,TERMINAL).

Re : Any plan for officially upgrading pydio and php?
sounds like something is missin on your nas , very strange
can you do this :
cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
then creat a file called dotdeb.list
and put in it :
deb http://packages.dotdeb.org wheezy-php56 all deb-src http://packages.dotdeb.org wheezy-php56 all
save the file and do
apt-get update
apt-get install php5
then install pydio

Re : Any plan for officially upgrading pydio and php?
Hello,
I have the same issue, I followed the discussion tried what's on it, and I'm still unable to install Pydio 6.0.8 on a ReadyNAS 516 OS 6.2.4.
Any ideas?
In advance, thank you!
Best.

I have succesfully install php 5.6, but I still can't install Pydio

Also as advertised, Owncloud is indeed not possible to install anymore

Re : Any plan for officially upgrading pydio and php?
ok I found the solution :
nano /etc/apt/sources.list
add
deb http://packages.dotdeb.org wheezy-php56-zts all deb-src http://packages.dotdeb.org wheezy-php56-zts all
apt-get update
if you get an error like:
GPG error: http://packages.dotdeb.org wheezy-php56 Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY E9C74FEEA2098A6E
then :
wget http://www.dotdeb.org/dotdeb.gpg apt-key add dotdeb.gpg
and again
apt-get update
then :
apt-get install php5
check you on PHP 5.6.x
php -v
if all's good restart apache:
service apache2 restart
and then try to install again Pydio 6.0.x from the GUI
Best!

Re : Any plan for officially upgrading pydio and php?
Ok,
I tried first to remove the faulty packages nut, leafp2p
by running #apt-get remove --purge nut-server nut-client leafp2p
Then I changed teh sources.list and applied #apt-get update
Then I got #php -v ---->
PHP 5.6.13-1~dotdeb+zts+7.1 (cli) (built: Sep 4 2015 17:39:30)
Copyright (c) 1997-2015 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.6.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2015 Zend Technologies
with Zend OPcache v7.0.6-dev, Copyright (c) 1999-2015, by Zend Technologies
So it seems that the PHP is upgraded to version 5.6
BUT
I still have problem installing pydio 6.0.8 via GUI and via dpkg -i
In fact the problem now is the mysqladmin
#dpkg -i pydio_6.0.8_all.deb ... ...... ....... OK mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed error: 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)' dpkg: error processing pydio (--install): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: pydio
I am not sure how to fix this mysqladmin problem?
