Can't login though a terminal window
I have two ReadyNAS storage devices. I want to check something in the file system which can only be done through a terminal window. I have turned on ssh, but the client command ssh <readyNAS device URL> -l username always returns "Permission denied (publickey)".
Does one need to restart the ReadyNAS after turninig on ssh?
I am using an Apple Macbook Pro with OS 10.14.6 (Mojave). Both ReadyNAS's are up-to-date 6.10.3. Network is ethernet or wifi.
I am a long time unix/linux user, but do not know much about the system stuff.
Thanks,
John

Re: Can't login though a terminal window
You should log in as root (and use the NAS admin password).
Also, make sure you have password authentication enabled in system->settings->ssh.
