Cloud sync to OneDrive
I have my NAS setup to sync a folder with OneDrive using the "beta" app that is under the "Cloud" options.
It seems to be working well but how often should it be syncing? If I reboot the NAS then it resyncs but then it nevers seems to do so again?

Re: Cloud sync to OneDrive
The syncing from the NAS to the server should happen when the file/folder is created.
The ReadyNAS checks the server periodically (multiple times a minute) and downloads the updated files from the cloud service.
You can try the beta that helps provide more information into what the cloud service is doing:

Another thing you can check are the logs within the Settings of the cloud service.

Re: Cloud sync to OneDrive
I have mine set to just sync one way up to OneDrive so that I'm using it like an off site backup.
The logs tell me it hasn't uploaded anything for 5 days even though I have saved some photos to the location on my NAS yesterday so those should have been uploaded by now.

Re: Cloud sync to OneDrive
HI,
Were did you find the log files? I am running a ReadyNAS 4220, firmware 6.9.3. I was doing a one way sync to OneDrive. 14 files for about 11GB. My backup software deletes the oldest file and adds a new one every night. This worked for weeks but then we had an extended power failure. It hasn't synced since. The cloud service is on and the settings haven't changed. I suspect its a bug and the service needs to re-login to OneDrive. But I can't find a log file for this service. The only log file I see on the readyNAS is the general one for the system which doesn't have any entries about the cloud service, even when the sync was working. Are there detailed log files for the OneDrive cloud service somewhere?
Thanks,
David.

Re: Cloud sync to OneDrive
Awsome. Thank you StephenB. I just looked at the log files thru the readyNAS web interface. It never occurred to me that the download would have logs available that are not visable thru the web interface with the rest of the logs. Why??? Anyways, thanks for this info. I have now downloaded the zip file and have access to the OneDrive tool's log files. Now I can see that after the restart the device does get an error code 6 "Couldn't resolve host name".
Thanks!
David
