Re: HowTo: VMware Server 2 on ReadyNAS 4.2.11
After making my first VM with a install iso mounted of Suse i encountered an error in the eventviewer of VMware webclient...
Version mismatch with vmmon module: expecting 208.0, got 238.0. You have an incorrect version of the `vmmon' kernel module. Try reinstalling VMware Server.
hoping that someone can help me with the error... the server is trying to start but stops at 95% en exits with above code! Someone?

Re: HowTo: VMware Server 2 on ReadyNAS 4.2.11
Since this no longer works with higher build - how do I removed it so I can upgrade my Readynas firmware?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: HowTo: VMware Server 2 on ReadyNAS 4.2.11
I'm just a fellow user, but olbjan's post indicates it will never work on newer kernels. I was hoping to stick with it, but the price on 3tb disks is driving me to upgrade.
As I see it you can go to installing esxi on another device and use the same share to the run the vms or move to Virtualbox.
I think the only way to get rid of the old VMware server install is do a factory reset though.

Re: HowTo: VMware Server 2 on ReadyNAS 4.2.11
Follow the VBox guide for building the kernel @ http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=26468&start=390. Procedure should be the same even though you are using 4.2.11.

make ARCH=x86_64 oldconfig && make ARCH=x86_64
Can't get past this point.
make: *** No rule to make target `OLDCONFIG'. Stop.
Any ideas.
