Logitech Media Server: App "off", still running
After upgrading to 6.4.0, Logitech Media Server got slightly borked. The app icon is no longer displaying, the app is permanently listed as "off" (see the screenshot), and yet—thankfully—it's still running.
Is there an update to the app that works more reliably with the current OS6? (It was developed by @s-p, if I have his new username right.)

Hi nsne,
You can try removing it and reinstalling it, if that does not work then you can contact the developer, maybe he has an updated package to install. In testing on my 6.4.0 RN316, I was able to install it fresh and launch the application.

Re: Logitech Media Server: App "off", still running
Thank you for testing.
I hope that it will come a updated app so we can get the latest version.
I could not uninstall mine so i did a factory reset to get rid of it all.
Now i'm a bit reluctant to try again since i have restored almost 90% of my backup.. 🙂
Regards
Hans

Re: Logitech Media Server: App "off", still running
Hi Hans,
I can understand that, I really think since you are up to 6.4.0 now, you shouldn't have an issue installing it fresh from the update server. I've talked to our devs here, this particular app does not have a kernel modules, so it is unlikely that updating could have caused a problem with this app. Now other things like fragmentation or other applications that are executing background tasks, these could cause a problem uninstalling applications.
Also, if the app does not uninstall you might be able to fix this by logging into ssh and manually removing the app. You can look the commands up online if necessary.

Re: Logitech Media Server: App "off", still running
Me personally still run 6.3.5 on my legacy nas so i am MORE reluctant to upgrade to 6.4.0 until i see som more posts that it works fine.
Right now it seems like the "problem" posts on the forum win...
But anyway, thank you for your time and input!
