Re: Logitech Media Server by Super-Poisson not compatible with 6.6.0
Hi Mr Super,
Tried different options, removing 1.0.9 first, booting and then instaling new 7.9.0 and then the LMS package, but doesn't work.
Log attached.

Hi Super_Poussin,
(Struggling with ReadyNAS 6.6.0 too) I tried installing your suggested perl packages.

Thanks for your hard work.
Installed your latest package from https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ie9pwk1wut72ias/AAAS2_KcGBgkalf1wMzz2jpHa/Logitech%20Media%20server/7.9.0... and latest LMS from http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.9.
Unfortunately the problem persists on my RN104 and probably all ARM ReadyNAS.
It install fine but LMS wont run even if the app at the Admin page shows that LMS is On.
Running "service logitechmediaserver status" from cli gives
Active: active (exited) since Tue 2016-10-18 08:05:59 CEST; 17s ag
As I mention earlier "arm-linux-gnueabihf" is missing in ARM 6.6.0 and according to mherge over at slimdevices forum it has something to do with perl hard-float?

Re: Logitech Media Server by Super-Poisson not compatible with 6.6.0
I'm having the same problem as described in this thread, but my NAS is a Intel based ReadyNAS system (ReadyNAS 516). So it's not just an ARM based ReadyNAS problem.

Re: Logitech Media Server by Super-Poisson not compatible with 6.6.0
Hello,
I dont know if you need more information, but here is the log of my squeezbox startup:
I uninstalled LMS completly using apt purge command then reinstalled nightly build logitechmediaserver_7.9.0~1476850390_arm.deb with all dependencies.
LMS is Running on an ARM-based ReadyNas 204 with OS 6.6.0.
Hopefully you get that fixed....Tahnks in advance!

Re: Logitech Media Server by Super-Poisson not compatible with 6.6.0
Looks like they have a package that fix PLEX.
# apt-get update
# apt-get install libgcc1:armhf libc6:armhf
Unfortunately it did not fix LMS. At least not for me.

Alternatively the libc6:armhf package can be downloaded from our repository and uploaded to the NAS (Apps > Upload), for those uncomfortable with SSH access. An apt-get update will be performed as part of the installation.

good finding
an addon can't uninstall a software doing an apt-get purge 😞 so it can only be a manual action

Re: Logitech Media Server by Super-Poisson not compatible with 6.6.0
I tried removing logitech media server from my rn212 using SSH and ran into lock and root access problems. Since this is a new rn212 it wasn't to hard to do a factory reset and resync the drives. Only 2 TB for now. So in the apps section LMS is not there, actually it left yesterday but I thought my attempt to install it was the reason and this is the case with all other apps that get installed. Anyway, it was not there. I went to the nightly build and downloaded logitechmediaserver_7.9.0~1476850390_arm.deb. then I uploaded it using the upload feature in the apps section and the message I got was "Wed Oct 19 2016 12:32:07 System: Application logitechmediaserver_7.9.0~1476850390_arm.deb is installed successfully". When I check the installed aps list nothing is there. I tried selecting the server using http://192.168.1.28:9000, nothing, "page cannot be displayed". Any help out there? I purchased the server specifically to run the LMS. Thanks

Re: Logitech Media Server by Super-Poisson not compatible with 6.6.0
Finally some progress!
My system is not clean after all testing and I'm not a Linux guy so do this at your own risk.
If you have LMS installed.
Remove Poussin plugin and from cli,
apt-get purge logitechmediaserver
If it not completly removed delete the remaining folder.
wget http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/7.9/sc/b1a775c/logitechmediaserver_7.9.0~1476850390_all.deb
dpkg -i logitechmediaserver_7.9.0~1476850390_all.deb
service logitechmediaserver stop
wget http://server.vijge.net/static/squeezebox/arm-linux-gnueabi-thread-multi-64int.tar.gz
tar -xf arm-linux-gnueabi-thread-multi-64int.tar.gz -C /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/arch/5.20
Reboot.

Guess this is the trick
wget http://server.vijge.net/static/squeezebox/arm-linux-gnueabi-thread-multi-64int.tar.gz
tar -xf arm-linux-gnueabi-thread-multi-64int.tar.gz -C /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/arch/5.20
Have not done any further testing or installed Poussin plugin. LMS starts and shows the Wizard page.

Re: Logitech Media Server by Super-Poisson not compatible with 6.6.0
Have installed this before. Not sure if it's needed.
Alternatively the libc6:armhf package can be downloaded from our repository and uploaded to the NAS (Apps > Upload), for those uncomfortable with SSH access. An apt-get update will be performed as part of the installation.
(Why can't I edit my own post?)

Re: Logitech Media Server by Super-Poisson not compatible with 6.6.0
Thank yo so much. This worked for me. LMS can be accessed fron ip:9000. It still doesn't show up in the installed apps page but I'm sure its due to the way we installed LMS. Thanks again

Re: Logitech Media Server by Super-Poisson not compatible with 6.6.0
Now i’m up and running again
First I uninstalled the app from the Admin Page: Apps
Then I ssh and ran the command: "apt-get purge logitechmediaserver", subsequently I manuel deleted the library: /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs, because the ”apt-get purge logitechmediaserver” command did not remove this directory.
Finaly i installed the app ”Logitech Media Server NT (v7.9.0.b7dfc80-nt1)” found under the Admin Page: Apps > Available Apps.
Logitech Media Server NT by NAStools, see: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Community-Add-ons/Apps-by-NAStools/td-p/1065415
