*NEW* ReadyNAS Vault 1.1.2 Add-on
We're pleased to announce a maintenance upgrade to the ReadyNAS Vault that address issues reported by our Vault users. If you are a ReadyNAS Vault user, please download the add-ons below and update using the Local update method from the System/Update/Local page in FrontView.
ReadyNAS Vault 1.1.2 for sparc (Duo, NV, NV+, 1100)
ReadyNAS Vault 1.1.2 for x86 (NVX, Pro, 2100, 3200)
Changelog
1. Enhanced Session Management: Added auto-recovery of secure sessions to streamline performance and long-running backups. Eliminates known issue that produced intermittent stalling (this was the one that was affecting the larger files).
2. Reporting Verification Services: Added additional logic and integrity checks to ensure that files that have already been backed up are properly counted. Previously, files already protected were not reported as transferred producing a reporting discrepancy that this update corrects.
3. Accelerated Differential Analysis: Updated management of locally maintained meta-data to allow for performance and speed improvements on all subsequent job runs. Cuts down subsequent backup time by up to 80%.
4. OpenSSL-compatibility fix for ReadyNAS 1100 model: Fixed an issue that was causing failure of ssl connections on the 1100.

Since when cutting down speed of anything has been considered an improvement? 🙂

Cuts down speed of subsequent backups by up to 80%.
Of course, we meant the new version cuts down the time it takes for subsequent backups 🙂

Re: *NEW* ReadyNAS Vault 1.1.2 Add-on
I'm confused.
https://vault.readynas.com/account/login.aspx
the Upgrade to the latest version...
link points to version 1.1.2
But http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=617 (and isn't that easy to find?) points at 2.0.9

1.1.2 is an old version released last year.

I'd say 2.0.9 is probably the latest. This page can be found by going to http://www.readynas.com/addons and then selecting the relevant page depending on which NAS you are using.
Also when at http://www.readynas.com you can click on the Resources drop down menu, then select addons.

Re: *NEW* ReadyNAS Vault 1.1.2 Add-on
I am correct in thinking that Vault is no longer an add-in and is built into newer versions of RAIDiator?

Vault is built into RAIDiator. But it can be updated by the Vault team independently of RAIDiator. So sometimes installing an add-on (or perhaps using an inbuilt update functionality in the Vault web-interface if there is one - a bit like ReadyNas Remote) is necessary separately to updating RAIDiator.

Re: *NEW* ReadyNAS Vault 1.1.2 Add-on
In that case how do I know if 1.1.2 version is relevant to me? I couldn't see what version I'm using as it's part of RAIDiator.

Re: *NEW* ReadyNAS Vault 1.1.2 Add-on
I would imagine you would be prompted to update or experience unexpected problems if you are using an old version.
