PLEX, Readynas 104 and ssl
Hello people,
on the old plex forum i posted an article for users want to use plex on their 102 and 104 devices. These days it wasnt possible to use plex as an app on these devices because there was no official update for plex besides the first and very very old release in the app store.
I was always unhappy with this and removed my plex installation.
Now i will give plex another chance.
Here's my Question:
How can i access my device via app.plex.tv? It uses a ssl connection if i am not wrong. The ssl version doesnt seems to work. I have a link there on the web site named like 'click here to use an unsecure connection' which then works fine to access my plex content on the readynas from outside the local network. Is this a problem with the nas or with plex? I somehow have in memory that there is no ssl certificate on the readynas device. Maybe its because of this?
Thanx for your answers and help.

Re: PLEX, Readynas 104 and ssl
https://app.plex.tv/web/app works on my NAS (RN102 and RN202) with no certficate errors. I'm not on 6.4.0 yet.
You might need to forward the remote access port in your router.

Re: PLEX, Readynas 104 and ssl
I am quite sure you're right with the router. Whether plex nor readynas uses upnp for this, right?
Thanx, Stephen!
