Readycloud remote access not working

I have found my Netgear NAS drive to be a wonderful tool however, the shares on my NAS drive are no longer accessible by remote laptop or desktop users using the netgear readycloud website. We have tried the readycloud app, but that only gives access from the admin login, other users still do not see the list of shared folders. The NAS drive is still fully accessible localy via ethernet and wifi.

 

Not being computer techy myself I have consulted my computer specialists who set it up originally and having spent hours trying to find what the problem is to remedy to the issue (taking over mine and remote users computers to diagnose the problem, updating firmware, checking port settings and access rights etc, rebooting NAS drive, rebooting router, and so on).

 

Unfortunately, they have concluded that the problem seems to be external to my system and may be due to glitch / recent changes in the software that drives the remote access. I would be pleased if Netgear could look in to this, especially given current dependencies on remote working.

 

Model: RND-2E / ReadyNAS 212

Firmware is 6.10.3

Welcome to the Community!

 

There is an issue on our ReadyCLOUD web portal wherein you cannot see the shares. This was already forwarded to Engineering.

 

The app should not be affected by that issue. Have you tried deleting and then re-inviting the cloud user?

Hi there,

 

We are also encountering the same issue. However, we have tested the app, and the app allows us to see a shared folder which is in the root of the NAS, but nothing beneath. So in addition to users being unable to access the share through the ReadyCloud web portal, they are unable to use the app as well.

 

This has started yesterday intermittently, and affecting all users today.

This issue with the ReadyCLOUD web portal should be resolved now. You may check if you can now see the shares on the web portal.
