Splunk app for ReadyNAS

Hi

I have been creating a Splunk application for ReadyNAS.

I own a ReadyNAS Ultra 4 and I have installed Splunk directly onto it to consume the enclosure log. Here is an example of what I've created so far:

I will be adding a time range picker and a host picker (incase you own multiple ReadyNAS) and putting some ReadyNAS branding on it.

Does anyone know how I can get access to the enclosure log in an easier way? Splunk won't install onto a non x86 ReadyNAS and I would like this to work for as many devices as possible (and also as easily as possible).

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
David

My apologies, I thought I had linked them, but now I notice linking is turned off. Let me know if you can't view these:

Did you ever finish this app? I don't see it on the Splunk app site?

I was initially focusing on the data coming from the enclosure.log, which doesn't appear to be available in the new Raidiator - or at least no the VM I downloaded. I didn't receive a lot of feedback and didn't think there was much point in pushing forward building an app that only worked on older model devices.

Re: Splunk app for ReadyNAS

Thanks. I was actually going to look at logstash, so it may have been for naught anyway. What logs did you find to be of value? I was going to start with syslog, but some performance ones would be nice. I'm running 4.2.x on my every day and 6 on my backup nas so the older system is of value to me.
