Trying to figure out how to supplement the available packages
Hi, New 516 user here. After having tried Synology, FreeNAS and even a Mac server, I've ended up here. Trying to figure out how to supplement the available packages. It seems the ReadyNAS is great when you use it out of the box, and it's definitely a solution I can recommend to less experienced users.

Re: Trying to figure out how to supplement the available pac
What packages are you looking to install?
Are you comfortable with using SSH?

Re: Trying to figure out how to supplement the available pac
I was trying to build SickRage as a replacement to SickBeard. I tried to follow one of the threads here on not being able to update the TPB version from source. It just didn't seem like there was a definitive way to make this happen.
I have had luck with SSH and pulling source from the SickRage repository, but when I tried to run the package I got an error saying it couldn't find the "kodi" library.
In the mean time I reverted back to the TPB version of SickBeard and am just running that for now.

Perhaps try the Debian Wheezy backports option?: http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Kodi_for_Linux
