Unifi Controller on ReadyNAS, opening new

Hi Snooker

I am trying to get the controller running on my ReadyNAS. I manage to install Java, but following the process that is in the forum is not working.

https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Storage-Apps-Current/How-to-run-UniFi-Controller-on-ReadyN...

After adding repository the process of installing unifii is not working. dependencies on mongo are referenced. in the manual, they are moving the folder afterwards for storage.....

Are you still running it on ReadyNAS?

Regards
Patrick

Same here only I can't even get Java loaded! Been following the instructions posted here but they are 2 years old and no longer work.

Hi,

Apparently needs java 8 but not in repository. Anyone know how to get java 8 installed?

This might answer your question: https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Routing-Switching/Step-By-Step-Tutorial-Guide-Raspberry-Pi-with-...

I decided to put the controller on a Raspberry Pi but I think you can adapt the steps for the ReadyNAS. Please post your experiences if yoiu succeed.

Re: Unifi Controller on ReadyNAS, opening new

Hi

well - without real support of Netgear and no successes everywhere, I decided to have the Unifi Controller differently.

This makes me independent of Netgear overall and I can change the NAS, as well.

Thanks
Patrick
