Cannot log in to ReadyNAS Remote
Hello,
I'm having a few problems actually logging into RNR. I can log in fine at https://remote.readynas.com/ but when I try and use the application it just keeps saying 'Login failed'. I'm on OSX 10.6.2.
Thanks.
[EDIT] Well I can log in fine using Windows 7 via Boot Camp and Parallels but not using OSX. Is there something else I must configure in OSX?

Re: Cannot log in to ReadyNAS Remote
Which ReadyNas? Do you have the latest version of ReadyNas Remote installed, add-on client? Use x86 add-on if you have a x86 ReadyNas e.g. NVX, Pro, 2100 or 3200. Use Sparc (doesn't have x86 in filename) version otherwise e.g. if NV/NV+/1100/Duo/X6/600
See https://remote.readynas.com/download.html
Can you try stopping and restarting the service.
Also note that you must have a different ReadyNas Remote user account for each computer connecting/connected at the same time.

Hi, it's a ReadyNAS Duo and I have the latest Mac and Windows clients of RNR installed and everything else. Like I said the Mac client won't even login to the RNR service. I know my username and password are correct as I can login via the Windows client and via https://remote.readynas.com/
I've tried the Windows client via Boot Camp and Parallels and it works fine. I can login and connect my ReadyNAS Duo. The Mac client however, simply won't work. I've disabled the Mac firewall just in case and it still doesn't login. :?

Re: Cannot log in to ReadyNAS Remote
Be patient after logging in. It won't find the NAS straight away (may take half a minute to a minute or so). Have you tried using a Mac on your LAN (just to help isolate the cause of the problem)?
So you can confirm your using the latest version of the add-on and that you use a different ReadyNas Remote (note this is different to the usernames you use on your LAN) user account for each computer connecting at once. If using the same account on multiple computers try creating a new account for a different computer.
Also make sure you followed the instructions here: http://www.readynas.com/remote

I've found out what the problem is. ReadyNAS Remote will not login if I boot my Mac in 64-bit kernel mode. RNR only works by booting in 32-bit mode. Do happen to know if this will be fixed in new version of RNR? I only really boot in 64-bit mode. :?

You could PM cap1 who is a Readynas Remote expert. I imagine they should come out with a new version that fixes it at some point if there's enough demand.

OK thanks. I've sent off a PM in the meantime. Hopefully full 64-bit compatibility is in the pipeline. :?

Re: Cannot log in to ReadyNAS Remote
Yes, we have added 64-bit support to the list...
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Cannot log in to ReadyNAS Remote
Was this ever fixed? I'm having the same problem. Details:
RAIDiator 4.18
Max OS X Lion w/ latest Remote client
Account login & pw are correct
Restarted service & rebooted the NAS
Growl notification: Login Failed
I was able to login previously, when I was using Snow Leopard, but did have to restart the service at that time (was also using RAIDiator 4.16 at the time, as well as a previous version of the client software).
Thanks,

Re: Cannot log in to ReadyNAS Remote
see the thread I started "Can't login from MacOSX 10.7.1 (Lion)" on this forum. You should install the tuptap driver, then everything plays! (no configuration needed)
