ReadyDrop keeps going offline
Hi,
I have an RN104 running 6.2.2 (just updated but this did not fix my problem). I have ReadyNAS Remote running and use ReadyDROP a lot to synchronise a number of commonly used files/documents between two laptops and the RN104.
I have had the RN104 active for about 16 months and ReadyDROP has worked flawlessly through most of this time. In the past 2 months, though, I am getting an unusual problem. ReadyDROP will go offline every 25-30 secs and stay offline for about 5 secs before coming online again. It happens continually and I get the same symptom on both laptops I use to connect to the RN104 using readynas remote. This is particularly frustrating if I end up saving a file just as it goes offline as the update will not be synced and as soon as I close the file, the previous version will be downloaded from the RN104 to over-write my update.
Additionally, I have a problem that the RN104 will go completely offline every few weeks. The panel will be blank and the power button will have no impact. I can only reset by taking out the power cable and replugging. The RN104 will come back up as normal after that but almost certainly will repeat this a few weeks later.
I have looked at the forum but cannot see any similar problems from other users.
I really like the ReadyDROP feature and rely on it a lot but this issue is making it almost unusable. I would greatly appreciate any help/advice on how to resolve.

Re: ReadyDrop keeps going offline
Have you tried installing the new ReadyCloud apps?
Also, try opening port 6300 and point it to the IP of the NAS, see if it will make a difference.

Re: ReadyDrop keeps going offline
Nhellie, thanks for the tips ... I tried the change to port 6300 but this had no effect ... BUT ... I installed the new readyCLOUD backup/sync app as you suggested (I somehow missed that this had been released) and now it works beautifully syncing between my two laptops and the RN104 ... additionally, it is obviously a lot more flexible than the previous readyDROP solution ... thanks again for the tip ... closed.
