ReadyNAS Remote error & Windows 7 64bit. Noob user.
Hi
I have recently bought the NAS Duo V2 and am having problems getting readyNAS Remote to work on my Windows 7 64bit home computer. When trying to run the programme I get the following error.
"ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"
I've tried searching the forums and the web, but cant seem to find the answer to my specific problem
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

Re: ReadyNAS Remote error & Windows 7 64bit. Noob user.
I am getting exactly the same error on Windows 7.
Is there a fix for this as I assume it is looking for a specific ODBC driver, so can Netgear kindly tell us which one or supply a fix.

Please refer viewtopic.php?f=75&t=38727
because the remote is worked based on leafNET, so you must install the LeafNEt NIC at first.
and then see what happened.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote error & Windows 7 64bit. Noob user.
I have the ReadyNAS Duo v2 with the firmware RAIDiator 5.3.6. I also believe the ReadyNAS Remote is part of the firmware since I see it under Syatem Settings in the dashboard. I need to install the Windows “ReadyNASRemoteSetup.exe” to use it.
Both my desktop and Notebook (Lenovo ThinkPad X120e) runs Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and both had Leaf Networks Adapter installed, as seen under Device Manager. I assumed it got installed when I installed the Windows “ReadyNASRemoteSetup.exe”. Both computer properties say that “This device is working properly”. Under Advanced and Media Status, both say “Always Connected”. For both, the driver date is 21/04/2009 and the driver version is 8.0.0.4. Under Driver, if I click for “Update Driver”, I get from Windows that it is up to date.
Under Windows Control Panel, I uninstalled Leaf Networks Adapter drivers on both machine and reinstall “ReadyNASRemoteSetup.exe” again and got the same error on both machine, i.e. “ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] data source name not found and no default driver specified”.
Has anybody figured out a solution for this problem? Thank you.
